Retired seniors who are finding their current living accommodations more than they can or want to handle are encouraged to attend a free program on downsizing that is being offered by the Burlington County Office on Aging.
The workshop, entitled Moving On — How to Downsize Easily, will be held Friday, May 14, at The Gibson House, 535 East Main Street. The program will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a free lunch, door prizes, information and exhibits.
“This is a unique program targeted to those older residents who simply are finding their current home or living arrangement in the community more than they can maintain or need,” said Freeholder Joseph B. Donnelly. “They may be considering a smaller home or apartment, or even assisted living.”
The program will cover everything from options on where to live, how to make the move easy, and coping with the change in lifestyle.
Presentations will be provided by Donna Willmann with the National Association of Senior Move Managers; Andretta Randall with Moorestown Visiting Nurses Association; and, Jeanne Borkowski, Executive Director of the County Office on Aging.
Sponsors also include the Burlington County Freeholders, the Burlington County Long Term Care network, and Evesham Department of Senior Services
Participants are asked to make a reservation by calling Monica at 985–9792.
