Family, friends mourn loss of Evan Goldglantz

By AUBRIE GEORGE | The Voorhees Sun

Family and friends are mourning the loss of Gloucester City resident and former Eastern High School student, Evan Goldglantz.

Evan passed away on the morning of Sunday, April 12 at Crozer-Chester Hospital, in Upland, Pa., where he was receiving treatment for burn injuries he sustained from an accident, according to a Web site maintained by his family, www.evangoldglantz.com. In November, Evan was burning excess debris in an outdoor woodstove at his home in Gloucester City when flames from the stove ignited a nearby gas can.

The accident caused Evan to suffer third-degree burns on 92 percent of his body.

Throughout the past several moths, Evan endured countless surgeries and survived a coma before passing this Sunday. He was 28 years old.

Funeral arrangements were scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 at 2:15 p.m. at Platt Memorial Chapels — located at 2001 Berlin Road in Cherry Hill. Evan will be laid to rest at Locustwood Cemetery, located at 1500 Marlton Pike in Cherry Hill.

Evan leaves behind his wife, Danielle and his three children — 6-year-old Jaden, 2-year-old Ella and Jordyn who recently turned 1.
